Wasabi  [WAH-suh-bee]

"Japanese horseradish," actually is made from the root of an Asian plant. It is used to make a green colored condiment that has a sharp, pungent and hot flavor. Wasabi is available in powder and paste forms, at Asian markets, specialty shop and many large supermarkets. In Japan Sushi and Sashimi are served with a condiment of wasabi mixed with soy sauce.
