Hardboiled eggs

Place the eggs in a saucepan; add enough salted cold water to cover the eggs
by 1 inch. Bring to a boil; then remove from heat.
Cover and let stand for 20 minutes. Immediately place eggs in cold water to
prevent over cooking. Remove the shells before completely cool to prevent
that green yolk ring.
To remove shells, tap eggs on a hard surface and roll under your hand to
loosen the shells. If necessary hold egg under cold running water to help
remove shell.

Notes:
Hardboiled egg is a misnomer. You should never let the eggs boil.
